Description Le Chat Noir by Theophile Steinlen is a fantastic canvas for all skill levels. Sophisticated and fun. Steinlen became a regular contributor to prominent Parisian magazines and between 1883 and 1920 he produced hundreds of illustrations, many so critical of the harsh life lived by many Parisians that he worked under a pseudonym to avoid political difficulties. Le Chat is one of many cat paintings and illustrations that he did as he was very fond of cats. Measures 11″x 14.5″ on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas.
