Description Fuertes was the most notable ornithological painter since Audubon. His illustrations and oil paintings are amazingly lifelike, though he often did not paint or draw the bird or animal from real life study. We love the Black-bellied Bustard – an unusual piece for a collection of wildlife – or add some drama to a seating area. Measures 11″ x 14″ on 14, 16 or 18 mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We are partial to silk threads for this piece, but will gladly select and add appropriate merino wool or silk threads to help complete.
