Description Winter Cherry is one of nearly a thousand paper collages created by Mary Delany. Mary Delany lived in the 1700’s and began creating her own paper, ink and paint to create some of the more beautiful paper collages we have ever seen. These look like paintings! Winter Cherry is amazingly serene and striking and we are happy to suggest a few simple techniques to realistically stitch it if you wish to do more than the tent stitch. Keeping the background quiet with a quieter pattern than basketweave or an open stitch brings out the beauty of her details of the flowers. Measures 14″ x 15″ on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. Great choice for a pillow, to frame as part of a collection, or when you decide to redo a chair seat.
