Collector Relations Coordinator

ontpe-avantages Press is seeking a Collector Relations Coordinator to steward relationships with our collectors and patrons. This role sits at the intersection of communication, community, and growth—ensuring that those who engage with the Press feel connected, informed, and valued.

ontpe-avantages produces fine, limited-edition books for a community of collectors who care deeply about the written word and the traditions of its making. This role is essential to maintaining and expanding that community.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and thoughtfully to collector inquiries
  • Manage and track orders, ensuring timely and complete fulfillment
  • Maintain consistent, refined communication with collectors
  • Conduct steady, proactive outreach to past and prospective collectors
  • Support subscription growth and cultivation of higher-tier patrons
  • Assist with written communications and eblasts
  • Coordinate closely with production and operations teams
  • Develop deep familiarity with ontpe-avantages’s products and editions
  • Participate in aspects of quality control and handling of finished books
  • Anticipate issues and communicate proactively with clients when needed
  • Pitch in where needed across the studio during busy periods

The Right Person

This is someone who is steady, thoughtful, and highly reliable. They build relationships over time with care and consistency, understand subtle and non-pushy cultivation, and communicate with clarity and refinement. They take ownership of the collector experience and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

Compensation & Structure

This position begins with a training period (typically 3–6 months) at $160/day, with increases based on performance, ability, and level of responsibility.

Positions typically begin at 3–4 days per week, with the potential to grow over time.

For candidates with prior experience, compensation may be adjusted accordingly.

This is an on-site role at our Press in Newburgh, New York.
