Ron Zacapa No.23 rum is aged using a complex Solera process and matured in a series of casks previously used to store American whiskies, delicate sherries and Pedro Ximenez wines. Ron Zacapa No.23 uses a premium blend of top-quality rums aged between 6 and 25 years. Than every drop of spirit is treated to an additional maturation stage in select French oak barrels, previously used for cognac. The secret of Zacapa rum is the slow ageing process that occurs at an altitude of 2300m above sea level in the cool, fresh air of the Guatemalan highlands, which creates an exquisite balance between the aromas and flavors.
