Description 380 Shotgun Adapters for 410 Shotguns 380 410 Shotgun Adapters Allow a 410 Break Action Shotgun with a 3″ chamber to use 380 Auto likewise (ACP) Ammo. Compatible with Single as well as Double Barrel Shotguns. Rifle dimensions are .355″/.346″ with 6 lands and .125″ wide with a 1:12 twist rate. O-Rings: Due to the required thin wall thickness O-rings cannot be incorporated into the design, as we normally do. If you have issues with accuracy we recommend using some Teflon (plumbers tape) to achieve a snug fit on the muzzle end. Black Oxide coating as a result provides notably better corrosion protection (for maximum corrosion protection keep a thin coat of oil on the insert) *.410 Adapter Fitment & Service Information Our .410 adapters are engineered differently from our 20ngauge and 12ngauge adapters. Due to the extremely thin wall thickness required for .410 adapters, O-rings cannot be incorporated into the design. Instead, the chamber section is precision machined to closely match SAAMI specifications for a 3″ .410 chamber. Because not all .410 shotguns are chambered exactly to SAAMI specifications, a small percentage of firearms may have tighter or slightly different chamber dimensions. In these cases, the adapter may not fit properly. If the adapter does not insert smoothly, do not force it. You may either return the adapter for a full refund or return it to us so it can be custom fitted to your firearm. Modification Procedure If you would like us to modify the adapter for your shotgun, please perform the following steps before returning it: 1 Insert the adapter into the chamber until resistance is felt. 2 Remove the adapter, rotate (index) it slightly, and insert it again. 3 Repeat this process several times until light contact or rub marks appear on the adapter surface. These marks help us identify the exact areas requiring adjustment. This information allows us to better refine our specifications for future .410 adapter production. After we receive your adapter, we will perform the necessary modifications. Please note that refinishing may require additional time, as this  process is completed alongside our current production finishing batches. Please be aware that the 18″ 410 adapters may not work in all shotguns, depending on the bore diameter.  Shotguns with tapered bores may not fit.  Due to the already thin wall it is not possible to make these adapters any smaller. What is a tapered bore? A tapered bore is exactly what the title implies. The diameter of the bore gradually tapers down from breech to muzzle. The amount of the taper is slight — perhaps one-thousandth to as much as two-thousandths of an inch; but at the time this service was performed, the measuring tools needed to accurately measure it weren’t commonly available. So, most of the makers didn’t actually know how much they were tapering their bores — just the fact that they were. What are Shotgun Adapters? Whereas some are looking to get the most fps (feet per second) or accuracy out of their adapter. Black Oxide has become our standard finish. We can offer unfinished adapters during our production if you have requested one. FPS (Feet Per Second) As a general rule, the longer the adapter, the more FPS it produces. However, with low-pressure rounds such as the 45 colt, the fps difference is minimal once past the 11″ length.
